What we built
Option 1 Builders completed a backyard putting green and artificial turf installation in Lake Balboa, Los Angeles. The green is a custom free-form shape in blue putting turf, set inside a green artificial turf lawn next to the pool. More greens across the city: putting green installation in Los Angeles.
The blue surface is the putting turf, and the green lawn around it works as the fringe. Checkered flags mark the cups.
The lawn runs from the patio to the fence and along the pool fence, so the whole back yard stays green with no mowing and no watering.

How a Project Like This Is Built
We remove the old lawn, dig out the soil, and compact a crushed rock base in lifts. A putting green gets a deeper, flatter base than a lawn.
The cups are set in the base, then the putting turf is seamed, fastened, and infilled. The lawn turf around it is seamed and nailed the same way.
The base is graded so water drains away, and the turf backing lets rain pass through.
You choose the putting turf and the lawn turf at our Encino showroom before the work starts.
