How a Project Like This Is Built
We remove the old lawn, dig out the soil, and compact a crushed rock base in lifts. A putting green gets a deeper, flatter base than a lawn.
The cups are set in the base, then the putting turf is seamed, fastened, and infilled. The fringe goes in last.
Below a slope, the base is graded so runoff moves to a drain and does not sit on the green.
